That’s the reality for many of our brothers and sisters in Christ from around the world. I was reminded this past weekend as we remembered the events of 9/11 just how lucky we are to live in the country we do. I think our freedoms are privileges many of us, including myself, take for granted from time to time.
Imagine a world where you can’t worship Christ freely without putting yourself in harm’s way. Imagine a world where admitting you are a Christian will land you in jail or even worse, get you killed.
I wonder if we really take full advantage of the opportunity to worship God. At church, at school, at work, in our car, or even at home. If we knew what it cost other believers around the world, would that change anything?
Would it make us less concerned about how we sound when we sing? What our prayers sound like?
Would we take advantage of the opportunity to worship freely more often?
Would we at least challenge ourselves to connect with God personally in the one place we don’t even face opposition, church?
Why you ask? Because you can…………….worship there
